Josephine Lawrence, a twenty-two-year-old upper-class woman from New York, has a disturbing dream the night before she is set to sail home from England on the Titanic. It involves tragedy and love- the love of someone who is not her fiancé, Frederick Farring. Strange surprises ensue as she meets an officer on the ship that bears a striking resemblance to a person in her dream, and she finds herself pulling further and further away from her upper crust husband-to-be and the life she is accustomed to. However, as everyone knows, tragedy strikes just days into the Titanic's voyage, and Josephine- among other passengers- discovers something positively haunting about the doomed ocean liner and the seas below her.

Emma's story starts as a rebellion against traditions and absurd rules but ends up a twisted slowburn with cross-dressing fun and self discovery. Emma Marsh is an American teenager who travels to the city of her dreams, Windsor. As she meets George, an Eton College pupil, she starts dreaming about attending the most exclusivist school in the world. Except it's only for boys. Together with her best friend Andrew, she devices a plan to enter Eton disguised as a boy. And that's how the madness starts: cross-dressing, Gothic love, panic and laughter. Warning: metaphors overload, stupid scenes and lots of tears
