This is a Twin Peaks (1991) alternate universe in which a certain visiting FBI agent takes more than a shine to a certain local sheriff...

Dale Cooper has learned to be guarded about who he loves. Working for the FBI in the post-McCarthy era as he does, being out is dangerous. He's usually very good at suppressing that part of himself while on the job, but investigating the murder of Laura Palmer has brought up an unexpected challenge. He's met the sheriff of Twin Peaks, one Harry S. Truman...Cooper is fascinated by him, and yes, attracted to him. Surely Harry doesn't feel the same way. Right?

Dale Cooper and Harry Truman are fated, star-crossed lovers and no one can tell me otherwise. These two (who are clearly in love) didn't get the romance they deserved in the show, so I wrote them one. I've been working on this one for a while (ever since I discovered and became OBSESSED with Twin Peaks), and now that David Lynch has passed (may he rest in authentic weirdness), I'm putting it out there. &lt;3All Rights Reserved
