Olivier Mareau has always had a perfect life- supportive parents, good grades, and the kind of effortless charm that makes peoples adore him. Josh Bennett, on the other hand, has spent his life fighting to survive in a world that never gave him a fair chance. When they meet in ninth grade, they hate each others instantly.
Forced to coexist beacuse of their mutual best friend, Maja Castillo, their rivalrt is full of sharp words and cold glares. But as time passes, cracks form in their carefully built walls. Olivier starts seeing the pain beneath Josh's tough exterior, and Josh realizes there's more to Oliver than just privilege and perfection.
By tenth grade, their animosity had shifted into something unexpected, something fragile and electric. A lingering glance, a hesitant touch, a whispered confession. As they navigate first love,family struggles, and fear of being vulnerable, they'll have to decide if they're willing to risk everything to hold onto the one person they never thought they'd need.
