Prologue -
His hand shot out, gripping her chin firmly, forcing her to look up at him.
"Overreacting?" he growled, his voice dropping even lower.
"Do you have any idea what it does to me, seeing another man lay even a finger on you? You're mine, Riya. Only mine."
Her tears began to fall freely now, streaking down her cheeks. She didn't dare move, her body froze under the weight of his possessiveness.
"I didn't mean to upset you," she said softly, her voice trembling.
His grip loosened slightly as he stared into her tearful eyes. For a moment, the fire in his gaze softened, replaced by something deeper, darker. Without warning
he pulled her closer, his lips crashing against hers. It wasn't a gentle kiss. It was fierce, desperate, a raw display of his dominance and his need to claim her.
Riya gasped against his lips, her tears mingling with the intensity of the moment. Her hands instinctively pressed against his chest, but he didn't let her go. Instead, his arms wrapped around her tightly, as if he was afraid she might slip away.
When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested against hers, and his voice softened, though it still carried the edge of his obsession.
"I don't know how to love softly, Riya. My love for you is a fire, and it will burn anyone who dares come close. Even, if you let them."
