You know that feeling when you're about to take a bite of something new, and you're convinced it's going to change your life? That moment when your taste buds are ready to be blown away by a masterpiece, an explosion of flavors that will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about food? Yeah, that's not what happened here.

Instead, what I encountered was less "innovative culinary creation" and more "what happens when Pinterest gets an F in Home Ec." What was supposed to be a glorious food adventure turned into a terrifying, texture-filled journey that I'm still recovering from. So buckle up, dear reader, because this is the story of the time I ordered a dish called Sweet Potato Roulade with Coconut Glaze and Pomegranate Seeds and learned the true meaning of food trauma. Spoiler: it's not pretty.

Trust me, you'll want to hear this one.

I'd finally hit that age I wanted family and children. "Here." A plate appeared in front of me. I looked around and saw Mike holding it out. "What's this?" "That's commonly known as food. You eat it. I've noticed you favor the mushroom soup, stuffing with gravy and corn on the cob. Here you go." I took the plate. Why on earth had he not only noticed what I ate but brought me a plate of it.
