Brooke Elizabeth Dillions isn't your average teenage girl. She lives with her widowed mother, her father died when she was only 8 years old. Her mom is so depressed that somehow every fault in her life is Brooke's problem. Brooke blames herself for her father's death. On the plus side, Brooke is an academic genius and she isn't afraid to flaunt it. Colton Joseph Hilton is your average teenage boy. He's the star quarterback and loves to pick on the nerds. Colton loves to drive Brooke crazy, and by crazy I mean mad. But Colton's hiding something about his family and when he gets assigned to work with Brooke on a school project, his secret starts getting harder and harder to hide. Will Brooke find out what he's keeping quiet and tell everyone? Will she be the end of him? Or will they learn that they are both going through the same thing and actually become friends? Read to find out!
