Two creatures couldn't be seen together; it would spell disaster. Years of conflict had ingrained in them a fear of the "other." Generations of conflict had taught the children to view those outside the kingdom as threats, driven by past wars over land and power. Even after the fighting ceased, resentment lingered. Now, they all clung to what they had, believing the other was a danger that could only lead to loss.

The kingdom of Dradevows is dangerous with the frequent fires and deaths caused by the dragons that live on their land. The prince has had enough, he's going to take over the neighboring kingdom Elden Wood to create a safe place for his people.

The kingdom of Elden Wood however is no safe place. The princess knows the dangers of shapeshifters that are filling her kingdom, and she's leading the army to stop them.
