Most of the gods are too incapacitated to be of any use.And meanwhile, Gaea has her own plans for destroying human civilisation.

Isolated and too far to receive help, the demigods aboard Argo II have all but lost hope. They know that alone, they have no chance of defeating Gaea, or even reaching the Doors Of Death.
