Hannah Evans attends the prestigious Aspen Academy in York, Pennsylvania. Ever since she joined the academy in eight grade, Hannah has been focused on getting onto the Junior Olympics Equestrian Team. However, a lack of a horse always seems to stop the sophomore from following her dream. She can't seem to draw the scouts eyes from the spoiled girls and their six-figure horses. So when a opportunity arises to work with a Grand Prix rider back in her home town of Fenton, Michigan, Hannah jumps at the chance to do so. "Welcome to the most competitive years of your life. You get to take on sponsors riders whose stables are worth multi-millions and whose closets are worth more than the average student's college tuition."

Taylor Evans is in the run yet again, leaving behind the boy she came to love, along with her dog. Not to mention her sense of security. When she comes across 'Maple Ridge Ranch,' it seems like a safe haven for her and Ezhno, her (stolen) buckskin paint horse. And it is, at first. But soon she finds that everything is not what it seems. Will she overcome the countless obstacles thrown in her path? Or will they destroy her? This is the sequel to 'Runaway Horse'
