I know what we are. Or maybe it's better to say, what we could be. But it doesn't matter. I'm not the one who gets to decide that. And it's exhausting, always holding space for someone who isn't ready to choose me, even when I know, somewhere deep down, that happiness is with me.
This isn't just about love. It's about the endless cycle of second-guessing myself, asking if I'm worth choosing. The silence of waiting for answers that never come. It's about learning that I deserve more than the crumbs of someone else's half-hearted effort.
These are the words I never said, the moments I kept for myself because I didn't want to believe the truth. But it's time I let go of what was never truly mine to hold in the first place and trusting that what's meant for me will always find me in the end.
