This story I made later last year to re-engage my brain into writing. I took a random photo from the internet of dice under a spotlight and created a story from this. 
The short story is a quick piece on stage fright and a high school crush between two girls. Nothing special.

I do not own any of the images. 
This work is unedited I wanted to preserve it as its original self.

Have you ever had a crush on somebody you knew you never had a chance with? It sucks right, try crushing on the same boy since the 8th grade. When seventeen-year-old Aniya is beginning to give up on her silly crush, fate brings them together in the same house after a freak accident. Aniya has been through a lot but this was the most unexpected. Victor Simon is your typical student. He gets good grades, respectful to his teachers, and does well in school. He wasn't interested in wasting his time with many friends or girls. His agitation then grows when he finds that the girl he rejected two years ago comes to live with his family. The room was dark but I could still see the outline of his face, his eyes, his lips. Fuck. His alluring cologne graced my senses, but clouded my brain as he inched closer to me. I breathed, turning to face him. His smirk told me he knew exactly what he was doing to me. Get it together, fool, I mentally scolded myself. "Want the sugarcoated version or the truth?" he teased. I raised a brow at him. "I could smell you from a mile away," he whispered, tucking a lock of hair behind my ear. Butterflies. So many freaking butterflies. "That was the sugarcoated version," he added with a grin. I blinked, narrowing my eyes. "The pole didn't hide you well. Your cardigan was sticking out," he shrugged. And then came the smirk. "Now, time for my revenge." I barely had time to process before something soft and powdery rained down on me. I wiped my face. Flour. He did not just dump flour on me even if I started it. Mature, much? I thought bitterly. Poker face on. "Real mature," I said, brushing past him with fake annoyance. Time to activate drama mode. "Come on, babe, you can't be mad..." he called after me. Her brows furrowed. "You look like you have something specific you wanna ask me." The tips of Liam's ears turned red at Emma's very accurate observation. "I, uh... I usually just bullshit my way through projects, so I have no idea what the hell I'm doing." The corners of Emma's lips formed a small smile. Liam arched his brow. "What are you smiling at?" Her smile widened. "Nothing." Ever since Emma started going to Silver Creek High, she's been bullied over her discolored eyes. It all started when a boy brought attention to her in biology class one day, laughing at her and calling her a "freak" while the rest of the class laughed along with him. She never looked at him or saw his face; she just ran out of the room crying. She was now an outcast labeled as a freak and she wanted nothing more than to just disappear. They never interacted for 3 whole years. That is, until now in their senior year, when they get paired up for a school project. The two must put their differences aside and try to work as a team. But as they spend more time together, feelings grow deeper, and secrets start to rise to the surface. Nodding his head but not dropping my hand or creating a space between us. "Okay. Sooo still haven't told me the purpose of me being here." I laughed lightly.
