This story I made later last year to re-engage my brain into writing. I took a random photo from the internet of dice under a spotlight and created a story from this.
The short story is a quick piece on stage fright and a high school crush between two girls. Nothing special.
I do not own any of the images.

"Your sarcasm is cute, but you don't have to use it so often." He was smiling. "This is a pretty open place to meet your student." "Which is true." Nodding his head but not dropping my hand or creating a space between us. "Okay. Sooo still haven't told me the purpose of me being here." I laughed lightly. She was the outsider. The girl that sat at the back of the class and never raised her hand. The girl the sat alone at lunch because everyone thought she was weird for not speaking. She was the girl that had a million thoughts running through her head but had zero guts to say them. She was the girl you don't normally fall for but, then, she became the girl that captured the heart of the guy everyone loved. ---- "Shit, I'm sorry" A deep voice mumbled squatting down to help her up. A rough hand pulled her up and her blurry vision landed on dark eyes. She blinked a few times and her vision came back. Standing in front of her was a boy about her age. A very attractive boy. He was almost a foot taller than her 5'3 height. His black hair was slicked back and his tan skin radiated under the fluorescent school lights. Her mouth was slightly ajar as she stared at him. She hadn't realized how close she was to him until she felt his breath on her lips. She jerked away, grabbed her glasses on the floor and ran away in the opposite direction leaving the boy to furrow his eyebrows at her behavior. However, a small smirk played on his lips as he placed his hands in his jeans pockets and turned in the opposite direction. 'Stupid, Stupid, Stupid' She thought to herself.Complete

"Would you like to dance?" the boy asks me. I stare deep into his blue eyes, but I can't figure out who he is. He's tall with dark hair and the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. I know everyone at this school, but with his features hidden behind his mask I can't tell who he is. "Sure, I would love to." Did I just say that? I agreed to dance with a random boy who I don't know. He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. We dance for a few songs and then he asks me, "Would you like to take a walk? I know the perfect place." I nod and he pulls me behind him off the dance floor. We leave the hotel and start walking down a little path. At the end of the path I notice a little fountain surrounded by candles. I wonder if he set this up. We walk over to the fountain and we sit down on the edge. "I had a wonderful time tonight," says the guy. He reaches to his face and removes his mask. I recognize him immediately. How did I not know it before? *** Carter Bennett has managed to survive her first 3 years of high school. Everything has been amazing... for the most part. She had her life completely planned out. And everything was on track. Until she met one boy. William Aston, one the school's most popular residents. Being the school's football captain, incredibly handsome and an all around nice guy. And to top it all off, every girl's dream guy. He could have anyone he wanted. But he chose the girl he could end up suffering the most in the end with. “Aww, baby!” I muttered, pulling her in for a hug again. As she hugged me, I thought about how innocent she was. Then it was like a lit light bulb was held over my head. “We’re going to turn you into a right wee slut,” I muttered. Then I said it louder, a fully formed plan strolling into my mind. I pulled Jamie away from me and looked into her eyes. “We’re going to transform you into a girl no boy could possibly resist.” “Like Mission Sexy?” Jamie asked, looking puzzled. “Exactly!” I told her. “Mission drop-dead gorgeous, sexy and totally boy-licious!” “That’s a bit of a long name,” Jamie said, screwing up her nose. “Can we just call it Mission Sexy?” Jamie Black has her heart set on dating her school's old heart throb, Darren Gold. "You dropped this." I heard a husky voice say. I turned around to look at what I dropped and realized it was my schedule. I gasped. Damn, I would have been fucked if I'd lost it. I guess I didn't put it in my bag... I looked up to thank him, but ended up not being able to find my voice. He's really attractive. Drop dead gorgeous attractive. Hot. He has brown hair that is spiked up in a messy way and shiny chocolate brown eyes that are hard not to stare at. His jawline was firm and he is extremely tall compared to my 5'3" height; he seems like he's 6'1". He looks in good shape -- the white shirt he was wearing showed off his broad muscular chest. He wore a leather-mans jacket from the school over the t-shirt, with black denim jeans, and converse. I swallowed. I snapped out of it and took the paper forcing myself to say "thanks." However, he walked away before I even finished. OK... he obviously isn't interested in the 'new girl' like all the other students are. I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Out of all the guys that have hit on me in school today he is the only one that has caught my eye -- bad news is that he didn't even bother. "You know him? I'm surprised the cheer-bitch hasn't threatened you yet." Jessica said, her face showing shock. "Um, no I don't know him... and cheer-bitch?" I frowned confused. "She's his ex-girlfriend, but considering she has such a small brain that is a size of a peanut, she won't leave him alone. I mean like seriously, EX; has she not heard of that quote, 'Thanks for the EXperience, Our time has EXpired, now EXit my life.' She is one clueless bimbo. Then again who would leave him alone he is S-E-X-Y!" I laughed. "I am going to love being your friend." I said while I looked back to where he had headed a while ago, but I no longer saw him.
