AU: Shadow has been working as a barista for a year now, since Rouge made him retire on GUN. One day, working at the cafè, he encounters Sonic, a rockstar running from crazed fans. 
Shadow finds out about a case GUN isn't able to solve, so he starts investigating. An oportunity given to him by Sonic is going to help him follow the clues he's been finding, so he's obligated to coexist with that blue hedgehog, who he finds so annoying. Will they get along?

Companions, friends, perhaps frenemies, Shadow couldn't describe their relationship. It felt weird to have someone once again, shine their way into his life like... what Maria used to. Personally, he thinks its delightful. Unconsciously, he cherished Sonic's charisma. Earnestly, he protected Sonic's bright character. He will not once again lost what he had lost.
