It's July in the Summer of 2007 and Violet is coming home from a 6 month tour and study abroad semester in Europe. When she returns to Los Angeles, a place she has come to love and hate she finds that life has moved on without her and the people she left behind have created their own lives and don't want to speak to her. The Parkers have just returned from a long vacation and welcome her back with open arms but Will, the charming, handsome, and sometimes arrogant son isn't as happy about her return. Jake and Ethan aren't happy either because of certain events that happened before she left, which trigger unpleasant and grueling memories for all of them. Oh, and Violet's family? Well, she doesn't have one because she was left at an orphanage at the age of 3. How did this girl meet all of these people and become entangled in their lives? Well, memories will answer most of those questions and add a few more before the story ends.
