"We survived Lawrence! We got out of our chains, out of that disgusting bathroom! So what the fuck is going on with you?!"
Adam is not hiding the tears anymore, he doesn't care about how pathetic he looks right now. Lawrence saw him at his lowest, so why should he care? Lawrence looks at him, his eyes not changing from that cold stare he carried all the time now. Adam couldn't bear these eyes, he didn't know them, it was like John replaced the eyes of the man Adam thought he knew.
"Don't lie to me, Adam. Don't lie to yourself."
A cold, emotionless voice escaped Lawrence's mouth. He couldn't help it, Adam looks.. pathetic. Not as much as himself, but close to that. Adam doesn't look up, he doesn't even want to anymore. He just falls to his knees on the floor of Lawrence's small room, if you can even call it that.
"You think I don't know about your little "accidents" on your arm? You think I don't hear you scream for help from your sleep?"
Lawrence walks to Adam, who's now laying on the floor, trembling like a hurt puppy.
"We may have escaped the bathroom, but we will never break the chains Adam"
"I bandaged everything the best I could. It will need stitches. However, I'm afraid that it is broken. Same as your leg. Broken and needs stitches. How's your head feeling? I haven't been able to get that sucker to stop bleeding."
His voice sliced through the air.
I stare at him, confused, looking around, wanting to be anywhere but here.
He clears his throat once again.
"Mate, did you hear me?"
"How is your head feeling?"
I close my eyes. What the fuck? What the fuck? I was angry, annoyed, and frightened.
What, mate? What cruel world would make me mate with a wolf? No, no, no... My arm and leg were throbbing intensely. My head was screaming. I brought my fingers up to my head to try and rub the pain away. I needed to leave. Now. I told myself. My mind is still groggy, unable to swiftly move my body like I need to. I didn't even notice I was crying until his voice rang through my ears once again. His footsteps quickly, walking across the hardwood floor.
