Brasswick is a city that forgets its dead-but never its debts. When bodies begin appearing across the riverfront with eyes and tongues torn away, feathers packed into their mouths, and crows circling like omens, Detective Jonah Cray recognizes the signature whispered only in alleys and basement bars: the Scavenger Court. Two masked figures-Brother and Sister-moving as one, wrapped in black cloaks and crow-skull masks no one has seen in decades. When Cray's partner, Detective Rowan Alder, vanishes without a trace, the case turns personal. A single feather, a missing badge, and a recording of Alder's voice lead Cray toward a place no map acknowledges: the Court's Cathedral, a structure that shouldn't exist and yet rises from the fog like a wound the city chooses not to heal. To save Alder-and himself-Cray must confront the truth Brasswick has been feeding for years. Because the Scavenger Court isn't hiding anymore. It's returning.

Destiny. It was a funny thing. I had always thought that I could create my own destiny. But after attending my junior year at Nox Haven, I knew that wasn't possible. My destiny was written two hundred years before my birth, when my ancestor- The Dark Warlock- created a cult of Dark Ones. It was my destiny to rid the world of his mistake- but I didn't know how. That was the funny part, I knew what I had to do but I didn't know how. Nobody wrote that part of the prophecy. I would figure it out though, two of my beloved friends were dead because the Dark Ones. I swore on their graves that no one else would follow. **Book Three in the Nox Haven Series**
