Everyone in New Jersey knew, sixteen year old Kal Matthews. He was the best pitcher in the state. Better than every high school player. Kal loved the attention. He loved the looks he'd get from the little league kids at the fields. He loved the amount of local newspapers that wrote about him. He loved it.
It obviously wasn't his choice to move across the country. All the way to California. The California where no one knew him. The year he could commit to college. His junior year of high school. He's going to have to rebuild his name, get a spot on the school team, and make the newspapers in a state with way more competition.
Kal loved the attention in New Jersey, but doesn't know if he can handle the attention from California. Or at least, by himself.
