The story begins in episode 4 from the first season of Supernatural, with our main character taking the same airplane as the Winchesters. Our main character is called Ryan Adler, who is an immortal human with quite useful abilities. He's been alive for quite a long time, but has forgotten most of his early days, with his earliest memory being when he was a famous gladiator and centurion in Ancient Rome. After many many years of wandering, he finds himself in a fun little situation, where he finds the type of jobs the Winchesters do.
