The Queen's Concubine
In the kingdom of Valen Viera, a curse has bound the royal family for centuries-every ten years, their daughters must be married off to other royal families. But the true weight of the curse lies in their hearts, for Viera women can only love other women to prevent their bloodline from growing too strong. To protect their rule and avoid controversy, the Viera's established an unshakable law: only the queen may take concubines, never the king.
Despite the centuries-old tradition, many nobles objected. In history, only kings had concubines, not queens. But the Viera's ruled with power and cunning, and their word was final. Princess Searah Viera was born into this fate-a future queen destined to marry a man but love a woman. While she accepted her royal duty, she struggled with the truth of her heart, refusing to believe she could never love a man. That was, until she ascended the throne and met her five concubines, chosen from the most beautiful and talented women in the kingdom. Searah never expected to fall in love with any of them. She never believed she would succumb to the desires she had long denied. But when she met her, one of the five women bound to her in duty, her world shattered. Love, passion, and forbidden longing consumed her.
As the royal court watches her every move, as opposing forces plot against the Viera rule, Searah must decide-will she follow the path of duty or the call of her heart? A story of fate, love, and defying tradition-will the Queen risk everything for the woman she loves?
