In the Kingdom of Graymoor, the great wizard Alu Minium threatens to destroy its very foundation with his army of metal soldiers. Ruthless and nearly indestructible, these soldiers will stop at nothing to fulfill their directives. All except for Timmy, a failed prototype implanted with a great hero's soul.
Abandoned at a garbage heap, he is discovered by the retired healer Griselda Winterwood, who teaches him empathy--a concept that conflicts with his directive, but resonates with his soul. Together, he and Griselda rally her old comrades to stand against the evil wizard's army.
Yet, as Timmy unravels the complicated past between his soul's former owner and Alu Minium, he is torn between loyalty toward his creator and fighting against him. He must choose--become the hero his soul was meant to be, or become the agent that drives the kingdom to its doom.
