The Metropolis. A place where waking up is a luxury, but only to those who have money. Anyone else is treated like dirt, and are left to fend for themselves . For some people in The Metropolis, they would rather not wake up at all, as dreams are crushed faster than they came be dreamt.
Jayce Thrill is one of those people, born into a gang who live in the Underbelly of society. He learnt very early on that life is finite, and can end at any point no matter who you are or what you've done. He learnt this when his family, his gang, died. He was the only survivor. At just 15, he was alone, and all he knew he needed to do was survive.
So now, at 27, after becoming a very well known mercenary, he is approached by the heir of one of the most successful corporations in The Metropolis, what will he do?

It is not long before Jago, the ruler of Saffire, learns that a woman on Saffire is pregnant and he unleashes all his power to prevent the birth. Jago will not give up power. Demalynn is surprised to find out she is the Helper, but is astounded to learn the identity of the Gravidarum. Demalynn must battle to stay alive and fumbles towards the realization that Aiden is much more than a close friend. She is certain, with the certainty that only a seventeen-year-old can possess, that Aiden is her only true love. Demalynn is desperate to find a way back home until she must make a choice: stay with Aiden on Saffire or go back home and re-unite her family. There's no place like home.Complete
