Year 777 the moon left it's orbit and crashed into the Earth, smashing it into pieces. That day everyone would have died, but something strange happened...
Whatever it was saved everyone and formed the pieces into large floating islands. One hundred years later both the people and animals have gotten used to their new world. However when things seem peaceful, someone decides they want the beautiful world for themselves.
Soon after king Darkiim has taken over half of the islands a series of strange events start occurring. First shards of their shattered moon start appearing with strange properties that almost seem magical. Then there are the Contractors they are said to be people with strange, animal like abilities.
The Present year is 923 and the kingdom now rules over all the major islands. Far away from any of those major islands is a small town. Out of the clutches of the self proclaimed ruler they live their... Normal lives. Or as normal as they make it seem.
