He held the book against his chest as if his life depended on it. He had promised, he wouldn't let go of it. His breath was heavy and ragged, the smoke filling his lungs intrusively. Green eyes snapped everywhere, looking desperately for an exit. He jumped when his back met the thick wall behind him, his eyes landing on the awful smoky creature. Each step it took made a sloppy sound that made the blue hedgehog cringing. Sonic was screwed. He tightly shut his eyes as he saw the creature jumping towards him, protecting the book instinctively. But when he thoughts that he would hear his own scream, his ears perked up at the sound of an audible squeak and a grunt. He peeked one eye out, seeing only smoke from where the monster was a second ago. Sonic's eyes widened and he looked around immediately, his hands slightly shaking. As he looked up at a roof, he noticed a silhouette, standing there, a giant smoky scythe resting over his shoulder. His crimson red eyes locked onto green emerald ones. "Pathetic." the figure said, making a shiver run up Sonic's spine." When Sonic learns that all his life was a lie, he has no choice but becoming the hero that the Prophecy of the Flowers want him to be. - ⚠️WARNING⚠️ English is NOT my first language, I'm sorry if there's any grammar error, don't hesitate about reporting it to me, as long as it stay respectful. "what makes you say that?" sonadow/ modern world au bored out of his mind, sonic the hedgehog and his brother manic venture out to the bar, but there's a catch: the azure of the two is in make-up and a dress! looking pretty feminine enough, they decide to mess with the werido drunkies of the establishment but upon meeting an ebony hedgehog named shadow, sonic starts to forget what made this joke funny in the first place. shadow the hedgehog is dragged to the bar by his brother mephiles and it's not like there's any way to escape. the striped hedgehog sits alone in a corner wishing to be no where but home but when a pretty girl in a pink dress approaches him he feels like a new man. what makes this all better: she has the same sense of humor as his! it's hard to believe she's a normal girl but nevertheless.. shadow is in love! if only he knew.. 'sonette' is actually a boy.. ... note this is an au, all ages and personalities are altered to fit the fic. This is a Sonadow AU where Shadow is an alien from a different universe. He finds Mobius and tries to become the most powerful... but without anyone noticing him. He is trying to become one of them. Over time, he figures out that Sonic is the quote on quote "ultimate lifeform" on Mobius. He tries to become acquaintances with Sonic so he can learn their culture... as things take a turn. (These characters are seen as young adults. The only child depicted in this story is Tails. So, for whoever may be thinking, I am sexualizing minors. You're wrong. I also will say that this book is heavily emotional and has very graphic scenes. So I advise whoever reads this as well to be very open-minded and aware of the triggers I've listened down.)
