Ginger wakes to the sound of her best friends screams. She finds her apartment filled with smog and her friend, Bertha dead. Seeing no other option, she sets off to find help and then discovers that it's not just her apartment that is filled with this mysterious smog, but the entire city, potentially the entire world.
Along the way, Ginger meets fellow survivors who are also trying to understand why most of the population is dead and why only they remain. She will also meet many dangers in the form of terrorists, gangs and death cults convinced that the smog was meant to happen. All of that being the tip of the iceberg when the remaining people start to disappear.
Suddenly, Ginger is in charge of protecting the last of the survivors and finding a place where the smog hasn't touched, if a place like that even exists anymore. Is there any hope for the survivors or will the dangers of a post-apocalyptic world destroy them?

Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.Complete
