'Relying is a form of weakness'

That's what Ma. Paulienne Solana, a.k.a. Paula firmly believes. She is a strong, hardworking, biology student at St. Louis University. Paula only has one goal in life: to graduate smoothly with a degree and someday open a small café to run with her family. But life had a different plan. Her once-bright, clear future turned gloomy, as she realized that she is the breadwinner and the only hope of her family.

She doesn't want the help of her relatives who always belittled and mocked them- especially from her bastard father who abandoned them. Realizing that no one is going to help her, she becomes independent and strong in order to be the sturdy wall of the family. That's why she sticks to what she believes in and chooses to face the struggles and difficulties- alone.

That is, until he shows up. The man who is full of smiles and laughter, who keeps on nagging her and who'll try to capture her heart with those charming dimples and through dozens of pastries.

Can he break through the sturdy walls Paula built around herself?
Or will he become another reason for her to completely isolate herself from everything?
