Emma Winegar is quiet, introverted, and keeps to herself. She's the kind of girl who blends into the background. Emma is shy and very unnoticed at school, her twin brother, Asher Winegar, (aka Shredder) is the complete opposite. He is popular, has tons of friends and is in a band called Riff Wood. Emma has always supported the band and is close friends with the members. Carson is a great friend to talk to, shredders her brother, and then there's Hyrum... Emma has been in love with Hyrum for as long as she can remember.

Recently, Emma, Shredder, and their parents went on a two-month holiday around Europe. When they returned, Carson and Hyrum stopped by to say hello. But when Emma saw Hyrum again, she felt like the ground might just swallow her whole.
