The realms teeter on collapse as the sorcerer-lord Kǎi seeks to merge all existence into a dominion of eternal night.

Protagonists:

- *Xuán Yŭ*: A tormented warrior bound to Míng Huo, a sentient blade forged from a dead god's fang. Scarred by the destruction of his village and branded a monster, he battles the weapon's insatiable hunger for destruction-and his own fading humanity.

- *Líng Jìng*: The "Jade Child" of the Celestial Vale, a healer whose starlight magic burns as fiercely as her defiance. Haunted by the loss of her twin brother to Kǎi's forces, she walks a razor's edge between compassion and fury, her power awakening to truths even the Moon Goddess fears.
