Jayla's Story

Jayla was born with a photographic memory and cryokinesis. Before she is six months old, she becomes an orphan, though she does not remember how this came to be. When she is eight, Jayla is recruited into SHIELD, opening her eyes to a world she was unaware of. Though her childhood is filled with endless hours of training and countless orders to follow, she gladly accepts the lifestyle she is given, seeing it as an opportunity to have the family she desires.

The older Jayla becomes, the more often fate seems to take away what she was given. After the rise of HYDRA and the fall of SHIELD, Jayla struggles to find a new family and home, eventually finding comfort with the Avengers. But even Earth's Mightiest Heroes are not meant to last forever.

In the midst of every other battle she fights, there's one thing Jayla strives to find the answer to: what happened in the first six months of her life, and why can't she remember any of it?
