Jeong Eun-woo is a former participant of the seventeenth annual Squid Game, after having to kill her girlfriend to win. This made the heartbroken girl determined to put an end to the game, enrolling herself in the twentieth annual Squid Game under a different name to try and expose the game. Only her plan failed, which was to put a tracker somewhere on her so the police could track her down, the guard's found it prior to the start of the first game.
However instead of killing her for this, they kept her a hostage. Underground, to be precise. The goal was to let her rot down there and die from hunger and thirst, but she had other plans. She ate the trash around the underground area and drank her own blood to avoid going thirsty. After years of living like this, she was let out and offered two choices; go back to the life she lived, or join the games again.
Out of desperation to try and expose the games again, she stayed, but kept herself at a lower profile to avoid going back to that underground hellhole. She tried to stay cold and reserved, she has trust issues but this wasn't the case, she was just afraid to loose someone over bonding with them, like she had before. And with the other player's trying to take advantage of knowing she was from two other games in pervious years, a group of players try to help defend her from being used.
