Y/N and her family are from Starlight Springs, a small village on the largest island of Starlight Isles. She's never had much, and she's never needed much, only wishing to be one of the only writers in Starlight Springs. She's never wanted anything to do with the royals who oversee Starlight Isles' business, she never asked to get tangled up in the royal family's lives. She never thought she'd ever get the chance to even know one of the royals.
Until her family gets an invitation to a royal ball, hosted by the king and queen, celebrating their victory in a war with a kingdom overseas that's been going on for years. Y/N's life gets turned around, flipped upside down, but perhaps that's not a bad thing. Perhaps being entangled with the king and queen's eldest son, Nightmare will make her quiet, average life a little bit better.
...Or, perhaps it will cause everything to go downhill. This is the unstable, snappy, corrupted Prince of Starlight Isles, after all.

I love royal!NM tropes that AREN'T just him being the King of Negativity. Him being part of an actual royal family is amazing (either him as king or as prince).
My other NM x Reader did pretty well, so I'm hoping this does as well.

He basically only finished his actual highschool, and is NOT looking forward to having to do it again. Luckily his brother, Prince Dream, will be coming along the journey beside him. But Nightmare and Dream Are polar opposites, so Nightmare can't really get along with his brother's friends, nor Dream get along with Nightmare's, if he had any. With rules to follow and secrets to keep, Nightmare must go through highschool and not let slip the terrible things that happen at home. But then suddenly the two princes disappear. There's no trace as to who might've taken them, either. The only one that doesn't seem concerned is their own father, the king. King Sun-Beam.
