Rui was the illegitimate daughter of a well known magic family, but she has no talent in magic and was treated worse than garbage, she didnt have an ounce of mana within her when even normal citizens have in their bodies. she is beautiful enough though that the family decided to feed her enough to marry her off for connections.

Daemon is the result of a mad wizard's experiments and sin, an orphan boy that thought his life would get better when he was picked off the street only to be used as a lab rat because of the huge potential of his mana.

both are freaks by their society's standard that met each other in the middle of war and fell inlove, both were used as sacrifices and died with hatred agaisnt the world in their heart... But then as if some higher being pitied or hated them, they were sent back to their past.
