"We shouldn't be here..." I mumbled scooting away from him.

He chuckled and looked up towards the sky.

"I know, but isn't beautiful?"

It wasn't just beautiful. It was romantic.

"I don't want to be here."

He looked towards me and smirked sliding way more closer to me than we were before.

"Is little Maddie giving up already? Shame. I thought this was going to be more of a challenge."

He laughed cockily and leaned in way too close for my comfort. I pushed him away and glared at him.

"Don't even think for one moment that I'm in love with you. I hate you."

I looked away once more as tears brimmed my eyes, remembering all the painful things that he's ever done or said to me. As I stood up, I quickly blinked them away."
