Strange disappearances have plagued the small fishing town of Port Lawrence for months. With the only thing to hint at who will be next being flickers of blue scales Terrified, the townspeople decide to take on the assistance of a legendary monster hunter.

Reimu Asahi is no stranger to monsters. She has spent her entire life protecting humans from them, and knows all their traits like the back of her hand. So when her services are requested in a small fishing town halfway across the world, she is almost certain what is causing the tragedy: a siren, and a dangerous one at that. So, she vows to the townspeople to make it a mission to capture it.

But as the game of cat and mouse progresses, Reimu unexpectedly finds herself beginning to understand the monster, not the humans who hired her. So as her time in this town slowly runs out, Reimu is forced to make a choice: give in to the temptation and let the siren go, or stay steadfast in her duty to slay him for once and for all... but at what cost?
