On a distant planet a war rages. After the conquest of the Taihou Confederacy, the continent of Alterra was firmly under the boot of the Republic of of the same name. Thousands of years ago as Alterra was still being colonized, and cities were still sprouting up two factions emerged with with differing views on how the terraforming process should go. The Mother Pines, sentient, highly intelligent and tree like, blessed a warrior with immense power to overthrow the interstellar corporate rulers of Alterra and build a society at peace with the native and natural life on this strange yet familiar world. As time progressed more warriors and leaders were blessed by the Mother Pines and open was was inevitable, Those who supported an industrial and stratified society created a militant force known as the Auburn Order. The war between the Forest's chosen and the Auburn order was catastrophic and all connections to other planets were severed as the fog of war set in. Thousands of years later, a young man named Sequoia, a veteran of the war against the Taihou Confederacy, returns home to his province of Redcliff. A staunch pacifist, Sequoia begins work in the Republic's civil service. However, in the capital of Konst'an, the republic's two main parties are tearing the nation apart. Sequoia, his companions, and his retinue will work together to overcome incredible odds in the dream of making Alterra a better place for all. In the skies, airships will reach farther, on the ground, armies will strike harder. As the republic begins to collapse, Sequoia must make difficult decisions as new and old friends and enemies emerge.
I am insufficient. Well, that's not my name obviously, but that's what my family has decided I am.
I'm Julie. I'm 14, about to be 15 years old. I have a twin sister, Jamie. Jamie is an angel. Perfect at everything, and can do no wrong. At least in my family's eyes. And I? I am not perfect. I am a disappointment. Though they've never said that to me outright, I know that's what they truly think.
The apparent "last straw" was when Jamie fucked up and I took the fall for it. Now, I'm on my way to live with some of my more distant relatives back in Italy. They're supposed to "put me back in my place."
So now I get to go live with 3 Italian Capo's.
Sounds like fun right?

What happens when Julie gets sent away? And what happens when her relatives receives a girl they had been brought to believe was a troublesome, borderline delinquent teenager, but is actually just a confused, dissociative little girl with a messed up idea of what family really means.
And what happens when Julie comes to realise that the people she was living with, weren't all who they said they were?
