Wonderstruck (A novella inspired by Enchanted by Taylor Swift)

Samantha Pavlovich is the daughter of a Duke. She's spent all her life wandering her Esate's halls, reading about the world, and dreaming of one day exploring it. But instead, due to her mother's wish to raise her as a suitable young lady so she can find an acceptable husband, Samantha has been trapped in her home, feeling caged and like she isn't in control of her life.

but all that changes when she meets Alaric at her Coming of Age Ball, where she must find a suitor to one day marry.
Alaric is dashing and roguish and an intellectual challenge, everything Samantha could want. But there's one problem.
he has no noble blood in him and is therefore unacceptable to her mother.

And yet, even though it goes against her mother's wishes, Samantha can't help but feel called to Alaric and called to the world around her, and she must decide what is most important: her greatest desire, or her duty.
