The world of Imaginationem, the wild kingdom of Alamia, the insanity of the Eastern Forest.

five miles outside of the small town of Ableara giant charred oak trees with threads of silver and gold slimming through them tower over the lush green of the woods. They grow so close they look as if they once were walls, but now they are nothing but burned ruins littered with the bones of fallen Seraphs and demons.
The Harmony Ruins.
This once was the work shop of a woman who could cross over to the Deathlands and back. But now it is just a dreaded place, a place where the souls of one-thousand, nine-hundred, and eighty-seven children cry--Their cries swallowed whole by Memory Woods.

Memory Woods... It is called that not in memory of the lost children, but a lost daughter of blood. In memory of how she brought the workshop to the ground in Seraph's blood and Demon's fire.
The memory of daughter who forgot how to connect.
The memory of Sparkkissed Claves.

Willowborn Book One ***This is a work of fiction. Any relation to people, places, events, or objects is entirely coincidental. *** Somewhere in the wilds of Virginia is a town completely covered in Willows. It's not like every tree is a Willow, but it seems like you see one every 100 ft. It's a pretty normal historical small town. 35 families, Founder Homes, a parade every homecoming, holiday, and festival. Town pride is a must, the local "church" is the real authority in town, and the local families can be traced back generations. In such a town barrels in Dani Avelle. At 13 years old she developed something the Willow calls the Gift. Hers was the amazing ability to be randomly assaulted by memories from every person, place or thing she comes in contact with, along with the ability to channel people who were also from one of the towns founding families. 10 years later, with her best friend, her best friends boyfriend, and her little sister she learns that no, it wasn't all in her head, its an actual thing in a real place with people who actually lived, and that if she leaves the "safety" of the town she'll have only a few months to live. Stuck in a super modern but also ancient town, reevaluating positions and relationships, and just trying to be a freshly graduated entrepreneur, its a lot, but when the information the Willow gives out and the information she gets from her Gift don't match, Dani will need to decide just how far she wants to get into the Willow. Add in the new unexpected challenge of a new group dynamic and you have yourself an interesting first year in Nevermore. Art by anaya_44305 (Instagram)

BOOK ONE: Having enough courage to run through the woods and away from the people who convinced me they were saving me was not how I believed I'd spend my day. Yet, there I went escaping from the only place I knew existed in the world. Being held captive was too much for me, especially when these people wouldn't tell me who they were or even who I was. The first moment in my life I recall very clearly. I awoke in a dark room, with recollection of everything that happened in the world except for one thing. I had no memory of myself existing, I didn't know where I was or why these men kept me from leaving. Days after I first woke I asked plenty of questions, and yet none of them were answered. The only thing I learned was that I was not allowed outside because the woods heald the most powerful magic on the planet, the most dangerous magic. It was more than just bad men and curiosity about the forest that got me to leave, it was a pull towards something; towards magic. Once I was in the forest turning back was never an option, so I put it in my head that I'd keep walking until I found a civilization or a nice paved road that would lead to safety. But that never happened because the forest has a force living through it. Believing that the forest held something strange was the easy part but experiencing it myself was something totally different. I didn't expect anything normal but I didn't expect to be completly engulfed into the forest. I was led by an unknown presence that made me truly believe it was a living being, and in fact it is. I was innocent then, but now I know that anything can be hidden under a small platform in the woods with a secret bigger than the world itself. I was given life that day, until it all ended months later; the day I took my last breath.

They say, "Expect the unexpected." But no one warned them that the unexpected could rewrite fate itself. She is the Lock...quiet, guarded, and haunted by dreams she can't explain. He is the Key...reckless, drawn to her by something ancient and unspoken. Neither of them remembers where they came from. But the Tree of Life...Yggdrasil...remembers. Born from its roots, their existence was never meant to cross. Now that it has, the world begins to change: Magic awakens, truths unravel, and a forgotten revolution stirs beneath their feet. A dream that won't fade. A connection that can't be denied. And a prophecy that begins the moment they meet. "When the lock finds its key... the world changes."
