Not all who die go to heaven. And of those who do, fewer become angels. They are known as The Transcendents.
For thousands of years Angels and Demons have fought over mortal souls to be claimed for Heaven or Hell. But when a Transcendent Angel, Helen, finds herself in a perilous situation, she is saved not by her kin, but by the Devil's enigmatic son, Nikola, who seems most captivated by her.
He proposes an alliance between them; his help in exchange for hers. But with every bargain they make, their bond grows ever stronger in ways neither had anticipated, blurring the lines between loyalty and desire. Yet the Prince of Hell plays a dangerous game, one where trust balances upon the edge of a blade and every choice could tip the scales between love and eternal damnation.

He stayed silent, but out of the corner of my eye, I could see him staring at me. "Right before he died he told me that he loved me. But I couldn't say it back." I added. "Why not?" He questioned. He broke through the wall I've been building up for years just by being the only one to listen and understand. Does he feel the same way? Probably not, but it doesn't stop me from loving him." A Flame Upon Still Water

Sunny, studious, and chatty to a fault, Siah Umbrath can't wait to enroll at St Sybil's University, the prestigious institution of higher learning in Chthonia. Most angels would balk at setting foot deep into demonic territory-not Siah. When the Angelic Council appoints her father as ambassador to the demonic kingdom, Siah sees it as a thrilling opportunity. Her parents, however, view things differently, with her father issuing a warning not to get involved with the male students. It's an easy request, one Siah feels she'll be able to uphold until she meets a grumpy blue demon on her first day. Kion Fellrose looks tough on the outside-tall, with a stern, unyielding expression, and a dozen boxing titles under his (literal) belt. But his gruff exterior hides wounds few know about, very little understand, and no one new will ever discover. Uninterested in most things life has to offer, all he wants to do is graduate and move as far away as possible. Everything is going according to plan until his father, the deputy mayor of Cinderforge, assigns him to keep an eye on the new angelic ambassador's daughter. Initially annoyed, Kion finds himself being pulled into Siah's orbit like a moth to a flame. The earth may not shatter when an angel falls in love with a demon -- they might save it instead.Complete
