This is the most random concept I've ever come up with, but okay.
This is still going to be a school-based AU, set in college.
Outer and Sans have been close friends since childhood and have known each other for a long time. One day, Outer starts noticing that the things he does with Sans might seem a bit too *gay* for his liking. After all, he's not gay, and he feels uncomfortable because, whenever others watch them, it seems like they see him as a gay person and assume he's dating Sans.
Sans, who is just chill with anything, doesn't really understand why Outer suddenly started acting differently. Whenever Sans tries to hang out or casually hug him without any intent behind it, Outer avoids him.
"Sans... I don't think we should hang out anymore. I mean, not permanently! I just think we should have some distance for a while."
Soon this will escalate to many misunderstandings..

(Adult Lazarus here - I wrote this when I was like 14 years old. Forgive me.) Sometimes life gets to the point where you feel like you're a paper airplane. You end up falling and crashing into whatever's below you and the heights that you had once reached. Then it starts all over again - becoming a vicious cycle. Of course, they're different versions of the same person, and they live together, but that doesn't stop Underswap Sans from finding himself infatuated with his friend.
