Elora 'Elle' Easton never understood love. Not really. Her mother was a complete nightmare, cheating on her father several times and eventually leading to his early death from an overdose, when Elle was ten. From then on, she'd given up on trying to understand love, because she knew that that wasn't it.

She lived in the Outer Banks, paradise on earth. Supposedly. Elora was never really sure about that, given the fact that her family was the way it was.

However, she did have one thing. She had friends. Four friends, to be exact; the Pogues. They went by the names of Kiara, JJ, John B and Pope. They were Elle's sanctuary, her support system for when things got tough. The Kooks, the other group on the island, were a completely different matter.
