You might be wondering how was it that a certain crack-addled, bloodthirsty, eldritch, smiling lunatic established himself as a household name in the god-slaying business.

Like all household names, you have to build your street cred from the bottom up. Sure, he was already widely feared, but nobody was aware of the new kind of deicidal service he provided.
