Marlot and Ké live in the slum of Cyberion, where they belong to the lowest level of society due to their individual flaws. They fear, but also looking forward with excitement to the 'twenty days of freedom' that will determine their adult future. 
Outside the gates of Cyberion, they find out there are no laws there - except those of survival - and the two realize more and more that the greatest battle is against themselves. Choosing between two evils is almost impossible, because it's their lives that are put at stake and it won't be a surprise they don't want to go for that ultimate freedom.
