**Two Geniuses**

"Only a genius can understand the pride and arrogance of another genius."

When he was a child, his teacher took his report card and called him into the office. "What's the use of being smart? You can solve the final Olympiad problem but can't get simple calculations right. Your grades are always mediocre. What will you have to compete with others in the future?"

As he grew older, his teacher held up his problem-solving approach and publicly scolded him: "I really don't understand how you come up with these unorthodox methods. Are you testing the teacher or is the teacher testing you?"

Later, in high school, he learned to conform. He forced himself to think like a normal person, and of course, his exam results were unremarkable-just enough to get into an average university.

Fortunately, his family had connections, and somehow he transferred to a prestigious 985 university in the capital. He was cautious, insecure, and sensitive, carefully hiding his brilliance-until he met Professor Joseph Leckie. The young doctoral advisor, against all odds, chose him, an undergraduate, out of a pool of applicants.

Puppy Jamie: But Professor Leckie said I'm a genius!

The suppressed brilliance began to resurface. For the first time, Jamie realized he was never ordinary. It was his past teachers who were too ordinary to see the genius in him.
