Prologue


No one's a fan of me. No one really wants anything to do with me. When I say 'fan', I'm not saying I'm a rock star. I am actually...a detective/spy. Ya know? I've gotta change my name wherever I go; doing all the secret spy stuff. The names Fabio Delton. I'd never been sent on a mission before. Now one thought I was as 'brave and strong' as David Nelson. He'd gone on so many missions that he was like a superhero. They don't know me, I thought. I've got something they all don't. I've got intelligence! 
I swore to myself that, someday, I'd go on a mission. I just had to figure out how. Then, I do like being a detective/spy. I get a free house. Free food. Everything I have, I didn't pay for. So, for a friendless guy like me, I had a pretty nice life.
Some of us are just spies, like Kate and Jody, the Teeler twins. They are really good at it. And, then, some of us are just detectives. Ron Haley is the best detective around. I was chosen to do both. I was sorta just picked and shoved in a room, never thought to be heard of again. No one thought I could be either.
We, all of us detectives and spies, all live in the headquarters. We work for SSDAW. Stands for Secret Spy Detective Agency Worldwide.There are five headquarters in the world. We all eat, sleep, and do almost anything here. In the cafeteria, we are served many kinds of gourmet foods from all over the world.
Now, the year of 2036, it's the year we'd all been waiting for. Even me. There were so many things happening in the world, that soon, everyone had a mission to go on. Except for, of course, me. It was so quiet. I was the only one to go to the cafeteria for meals. The only one to go to the shower room. The only one to be there to take out the garbage and help wash dishes. Some are still left, those are known as hunters, but their powers are nowhere as strong as the firstborns." "So if Damon found out that I am a half-half hybrid, he will kill me?" "Without a doubt." Snap out of it." you ringed him up after he asked you for a pack of camels, and then looked at a familiar guy playing pinball. The same blonde that got over 100,000 his last time he came. Everybody started hyping him up, so he's trying to beat 100,000. You remember the mess you had to clean up after some kid accidently knocked over a bunch of beer. You like to not think about how it ruined your favorite pair of shoes. He messed up again, and kicked the machine. You yelled out to him "That thing costs money you know." then he looked at you. His face almost looked angelic. But he had been the jerk of your highschool, so he couldn't be that angelic. He looked away and picked at his pockets. He pulled out nothing. He started walking up to you and started asking for a dime. "Come on, I feed you guys this money all the damn time. Plus you will just get it back." "Then maybe don't waste all your money on pinball. We've gained around $200 with you coming here almost everyday. Thanks for that." and then you smiled while picking up your book. He looked at you in anger, then you looked back up at him. He looked like he was in a bad mood. "Here's a dime." you said handing him a dime.

The feeling was so intense, her words ruling my brain, empowering my veins. I was so useless. Have I ever cried? Have I ever thought why people say Life is just a Lie? Did I ever care why was the guy behind the coffee shop shutters crying? Did I ever gave it a second thought what did that guy felt when I called him Bozo? Or what was going on with that girl I heard of whose parents died a day ago? Of course, what was I capable of feeling? And there I had always thought I was the perfect me. The boy who could do anything. The boy who ruled. The boy who lived. Life is just a Lie. And for the first time in ever, I felt it to be so, so real. The reality of this was ever-awakening, it's power would have killed a soul. Life is just a Lie.

If you doubt your writing skills, read this book. It'll make you feel better, trust me. I wrote this when I was in sixth grade, and now I can't even get through the first chapter without cringing. Not the kind of special like we are the best at an instrument or we know more facts about something than anyone else. We are so special that our connection is something that only happens every million years. we also inherited something random from our adopted mom that makes us SUPER special. We would be put on public display where millions would flock around to get a mere glimpse of us and what makes us special. Scientists and genetic experts on many grounds would put us in cages. They would come and force us to be part of painful, tiring experiments. This already happened once, we don't want it to happen again. If you promise not to tell anyone, I'll tell you. Fern and I have the ability to communicate with each other and other telepathic people without moving our mouths over long distances. And... We have fire and ice powers.

It was going to full of sneaking into government facilities in other countries, stealing priceless items that were supposed to be heavily guarded, car chases, near kidnappings...and enough dirty diapers to knock out a hundred men just with the smell.
