Melanie is an 18 year old girl in her senior year as the soccer captain. She's always "hated" Jacob ever since she transferred to Edward's High School in her freshman year. He was stuck up and rude, always saying what was on his mind, and worst of all, he was the football captain.

Jacob is 18 in his senior year. He also "hated" Melanie. He would sleep around with girls on the cheer team, but the relationships with those girls never lasted more than a week or two.
