So, yeah, my family's dead. Gone. Reduced to ash and memories. Demons. Because apparently those are real, and not just figments of overactive imaginations. The last thing I saw of them was... well, let's just say it involved a lot of fire and screaming. Now, my life has officially become rather dire, complete with tragic backstories, questionable life choices, and a whole lot of screaming of my own (mostly internal, I swear). Great. On the bright side, I'm getting some amazing training from a guy who looks like he raided a bonfire and stole the sun. My Sensei is... intense. Like, sunshine and screaming combined with a dash of over-the-top enthusiasm. Honestly, I'm surprised the dojo hasn't spontaneously combusted yet. He moves like a whirlwind of fire, while I'm still trying to figure out which end of the sword to hold. Seriously, is there a manual for this?
Between mastering sword swings (and trying not to trip over my own feet - a constant struggle), navigating social interactions (a true horror, second only to actual demons - I swear, small talk is my personal hell), and battling inner demons (both literally and figuratively - my self-doubt is a formidable opponent), my journey to becoming a Demon Slayer is anything but graceful. I keep thinking about them, you know? My family. And how I failed them. I wasn't strong enough. I wasn't fast enough. I wasn't... anything enough. But I can't let their memory fade. I won't. Wish me luck, Y/n (because we'll need it) as I try to survive the Final Selection, avenge my family, and maybe, just maybe, not die horribly in the process. Too bad I missed the opportunity to join my family from the get-go, thanks to - Ahem - someone. Now I'm stuck here because I WILL NOT let another filthy bloodsucker, a DEMON, touch a single hair follicle of those I love - those who surrounded me, cared for me, and healed me.
That...
I will make sure of.

Y/N L/N was once a happy-go-lucky girl that everyone knows and loves. She has the beauty, brains, and a kind heart, too. Her life always went the way she hoped it would until she met E/N L/N.
E/N would often taunt or threathen her back in elementary and would always try to bring her down. Y/N thought she lost hope until she met two blonde lookalikes, Clemont Citron and Len Kagamine, her childhood friends ever since. Until one day, one of them moves to another city, changing Y/N's life until grade 8.
Despite hanging out with Len and Clemont a lot, she also developed a crush on C/N C/L/N, a boy from her class in grade 7. He was only a new student but there were things Y/N liked about him... Or used to.
How was Y/N able to recover from that, you ask? Keep reading to find out.
