Adrian had always felt like an outsider in the adventurer community with his underwhelming magical nurturer skills. While others were out gaining fame and glory through combat and raw power, he was stuck tending to crops and healing the sick. It was demeaning, being seen as nothing more than a glorified maid - but Adrian took solace in the knowledge that his abilities helped people. Even if it wasn't flashy.
But everything changed the day he stumbled across an abandoned nest in the depths of a newly cleared cave system. Nestled among the debris lay a large, opalescent egg - easily twice the size of his own head and marked with beautiful swirling patterns that seemed to shift before his eyes.Against his better judgment, Adrian reached out to brush trembling fingers over the smooth shell. It almost pulsed beneath his touch, like a living heartbeat - and in that moment, he knew he had to protect it.

My heart pulsated through my chest and I didn't think I could hold on for much longer. The frightening, terrorising feeling of his fingers slipping through mine was causing the arm that was gripping to the edge of the cliff to shake. "Hold on, Harry! I've got you, I swear! Please, just hold on!" my voice held a shrill of terror to it and my eyes were filling with tears; tears of pain, frustration and sheer horror. Harry moved his gaze from our slipping fingers to my eyes. "It's okay, Ethan. Let go. You can't save me; not this time." I hated how calm his tone was. I hated how defeated he sounded. He had never given up - we always held hope for one another! We never gave up. "Don't you say that to me! Don't you fucking say that to me!" I roared, a small sob escaping my lips. Harry just smiled sadly, his muscular, beautiful body swaying in the harsh wind. The fall was so big; he would surely die of a heart attack before he hit the ground. I prayed to God he would. Life in New York as we know it. Its always a battlefield with full of opportunities and hot guys. Giving their peace on the joy of marriages, it was bland, but acceptable. Moving along, the officiant announced in a loud voice, "If anyone here knows of any reason why these two should not be lawfully wed, let them speak now, or forever hold their peace." The officiant boomed over the crowd. I was caught off guard. This part was supposed to be just a formality, just a box to tick. No one was supposed to say anything. The world started to go in slow motion as Verity moved behind me a flicker in the corner of my vision. "David, I can't hide anymore." He said. As David's eyes went from me, to Verity, filled with concern. David looked over my head at Verity while he was holding my hands in his. I heard the crowd gasp, before everyone started to whisper.
