Beneath the Steaming Sky

Beneath the Steaming Sky follows the tragic downfall of Kyle Hopkins, a farmer crushed by steam-powered industry and aristocratic rule. Stripped of his land and drowning in debt, he watches as poverty and disease claim his wife and daughter. Desperate, he flees to the city, only to find an even harsher reality. In a world consumed by relentless machinery and oppression, his life fades away, ending alone on the frozen streets.

The novel is set in Aelvos, a steampunk world of my own creation. Here, magic is real but hoarded by the elite, while steam technology has advanced far beyond the Victorian era. Towering war machines turn battlefields into glimpses of World War I, and humanoid steam automatons push the limits of modern engineering. Yet, in the shadows of this mechanized tyranny, secret cults worship eldritch deities, waiting for their moment to plunge the world into chaos.
