Young detective Anika Bartelsen takes on the case.
Shortly after, Detective Gustaf Ohlsen from Berlin also appears in the village. He is searching for his daughter, a journalist who is also missing and was last researching a story here - coincidence?
After initial resistance, Anika Bartelsen involves Detective Ohlsen in her investigation. Together, they eventually uncover a terrible, unsolved crime. Does the old case have anything to do with the current one?
