Centuries ago a xenophobic fox-like alien race called the Kadratzi invaded human space, taking many star systems and pushing mankind back into a small sphere of defensible worlds. A tenuous peace existed for decades, as both sides licked their wounds, but a sudden and brutal attack on the Proxima Centauri system signifies the return of hostilities.
