The Draconic Empire is crumbling. The Byndrossar Rebellion has torn away its northern reaches, and now, star-born wanderers claw at its fringes. Once, the thousand-year-long Draconic Peace reigned. Now, blood stains the empire's eroding legacy. Prince Drago faces a dilemma: tradition and Draconic honour demand he preserve what remains of his father's empire, yet reason whispers that change is the only path to survival. His vision of the future-diplomacy over war, change over stagnation-clashes with the ambitions of his brothers who see strength only in the sword. As King Urdemor VII scrambles for the pieces, the cracks plastered over a thousand years show. The fall of Scalicia is merely the drizzle before a storm-one that will decide the fate of an empire, the future of its people, and the destiny of a prince torn between duty, ambition, and the weight of history. Will Drago find a way to forge a new future, or will the tides of war and betrayal drown him before he can even take flight?

Michael also known as "Wolf" (because of a patch he wears on his kit and helmet) is a member of what was the 75th Ranger Regiment. He finds himself a veteran of a war between humanity and anthros. While he doesn't exactly hate them he doesn't exactly trust them either despite their efforts to rebuild the relationship between species. Unfortunately a good chunk of humanity and anthro kind was wiped out due to the war. But due to the anthros ability to reproduce faster they were able to recover much faster leaving humanity at a loss. Michael finds himself alone and on the run from a one of the most dangerous anthro militaries (at least to humans), known as the Obsidian Front. They continue to hunt down and kill humans forces despite the end to the war, causing proxy wars and often large scale skirmishes between them and remaining human militias.
