Osamu Dazai's challenging early life began when his parents abandoned him at the tender age of five. Left alone in a vast forest teeming with Pokémon, Dazai found himself in a wild environment near the tranquil Twinleaf Town. Fortunately, he was discovered and taken in by Dr. Ōgai Mori, a devoted Pokémon researcher who recognized the boy's potential despite his tragic circumstances. Now thirteen, Dazai has formed a strong bond with an injured Eevee, which he rescued from a hunter's trap.
Chuuya Nakahara is also thirteen but experiences a very different upbringing. His parents are often away on business, with his father absorbed in Pokémon evolution research and his mother celebrated as one of the leading Pokémon performers. Chuuya yearns for companionship and support, which he finds in his older sister Kouyou. Encouraged by her, Chuuya chooses a Shiny Rockruff as his first Pokémon. His twin sister Jane has embraced their mother's legacy by becoming a Pokémon performer. Meanwhile, their brother Paul (Verlaine) Nakahara holds the esteemed title of a final elite four member, enhancing the family's reputation.
